Tampa Bay Deals Thompson To Ducks For Pair Of 2015 Picks

The Lightning have acquired fourth and seventh-round draft picks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Ducks in exchange for forward Nate Thompson, vice president and GM Steve Yzerman announced today.
 
Thompson played in 305 games with the Lightning after being claimed off waivers by Tampa Bay on January 21, 2010.  During his career with the Lightning he registered 36 goals and 75 points.  He has played in 22 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, all with Tampa Bay in 2011 and 2014, and recorded a goal with four points.  Thompson has played in 391 career NHL games with the Lightning, Islanders and Bruins. He has registered 39 goals and 85 points with 199 penalty minutes.

Lightning Send Gagner, Crombeen To Coyotes For 2015 Pick

The Lightning have acquired a sixth-round pick at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Coyotes in exchange for forwards Sam Gagner and B.J. Crombeen, vice president and GM Steve Yzerman announced.
 
The Lightning acquired Gagner this evening from the Oilers.  Crombeen played in 99 games with Tampa Bay during two seasons, recording four goals and 18 points.

Bolts Trade Purcell To Oilers For Gagner

The Lightning have traded forward Teddy Purcell to the Oilers in exchange for forward Sam Gagner, vice president and GM Steve Yzerman announced tonight.
 
Gagner has played in 481 career games with Edmonton, recording 101 goals and 295 points.  He was drafted first overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
 
Purcell has played in 310 games with the Lightning since being acquired from the Kings on March 3, 2010. During his career in Tampa Bay he accumulated 67 goals and 203 points.  Purcell also played in 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Bolts, recording seven goals and 18 points.

Canucks Trade Kesler To Ducks For Two Players, Draft Pick

The Canucks have traded center Ryan Kesler to the Ducks on Friday for two players and a pick.

The Ducks delivered center Nick Bonino and defenseman Luca Sbisa, as well as the 24th overall pick in this year's draft, which the Canucks used to take center Jared McCann from Sault Ste. Marie of the OHL.

Pens Trade Neal To Predators For Hornqvist, Spaling

Penguins left winger James Neal was traded to the Predators during the first round of NHL draft on Friday night at Wells Fargo Center.

Nashville sent Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling to the Penguins, according to an ESPN.com report.

Ducks Send 2015 Pick To Canadiens For Louis Leblanc

The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired center Louis Leblanc from the Canadiens in exchange for a conditional fifth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. 

Leblanc, 23, has scored 10 points in 50 career NHL games with Montreal. Leblanc made his NHL debut with Montreal in 2011-12, leading team rookies in goals and ranking second in scoring and assists. The center also appeared in eight games for the Canadiens in 2013-14, going scoreless with a +1 rating and four PIM.

Selected by Montreal in the first round (18th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Leblanc has collected 68 points with 146 PIM in 163 career AHL games with Hamilton.

Isles Acquire Negotiating Rights For Dan Boyle

The Islanders have acquired the negotiating rights for impending unrestricted free agent Dan Boyle, the team announced.

The Isles traded for the veteran defenseman, sending back a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2015 NHL draft to the Sharks that will become a fourth-round pick should Boyle sign with the team, according to an ESPN.com report.
